What is a Buttock Augmentation Surgery?
Buttock Augmentation Surgery or Buttock enhancement is a plastic surgery procedure that enhances the buttocks’ shape, contour, and size by surgical and non-surgical.

A gluteal or butt implant is recommended in people who have small, flat buttocks with a BMI in the 18-20 range. Fat grafting is recommended for people with a BMI over 20 and having good fat pockets to act as the source of fat for the grafting procedure.

After your initial consultation appointment with your plastic surgeon, you will be required to prepare for the procedure if you have been given the go-ahead for a Buttock Augmentation treatment. Here are some preparatory steps you can take before D-day:
- Discuss with your surgeon and physician and stop taking anticoagulants, other medications, vitamins and mineral supplements like vitamin E that can interfere with your body’s bleeding and clotting abilities.

- Immediately after your treatment, a dressing will be placed on the incisions on your buttocks.
- You may experience mild pain or discomfort for the first few hours, but your doctor will prescribe pain relievers for comfort. An antibiotic course will be prescribed to prevent infection to the treated area.
- Avoid standing or sitting for too long for the first three weeks after the surgery. You can use a doughnut-shaped pillow for sitting for short periods.
- You will be required to come for regular follow-ups to allow your surgeon to monitor your healing and the results after discharge.
- You can begin working out around five to six weeks after the treatment.
